Patient Access Supervisor

Jackson Park Hospital is looking for an experienced Patient Financial Services Supervisor with at least 1 year of Hospital / Healthcare experience.
Essential Responsibilities include:
- Interviewing, hiring, training, staff development, evaluating, promoting and taking appropriate disciplinary action when necessary.
- Participates in the development of goals and objectives for the P.F.S. Billing department.
- Plans, implements, integrates policies and procedures to ensure accuracy of insurance verification, confirmation, cash posting and control practices, billing data integrity, timely billing, aggressive and thorough follow-up activities and dedicated support services.
- Contributes to the development and monitoring of patient financial systems and procedures consistent with long and short-range revenue and cash flow.
- Interfaces with the computer vendor, when necessary, to resolve computer-processing issues related to P.F.S., schedule training for P.F.S. departments on all related computer upgrades and review computerized financial reports for accuracy.
- Interfaces with other hospital departments to identify and resolve problems relating to verification, master file changes, billing, regulatory changes and timely and accurate charge submission.
- Define and analyzes variance in AIR days and implements activities to improve billing and collection activities including working with and monitor support vendors and collection agencies and ensuring adherence to government regulations and department goals and objectives.
- Conduct monthly department meeting and ensure staff attendance in all Hospital Wide Training programs.
- Monitoring and reviewing any account over 180 days and over.
- Monitor daily status reports from each position for quality issues or backlogs.
- Ensured practice/staff compliance with all regulatory agencies governing health care delivery, HIPAA/JACHO CMS and all other accrediting bodies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in financial software and MS Office Suite
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines efficiently
