**Full Job Description**
Potomac Debate Academy is one of the largest debate programs in the United States. Routinely a top competitor at national tournaments, Potomac Debate Academy's mission is to help students of all ages to find their voice. We take pride in providing high quality debate and public speaking services to students in elementary, middle and high school, and are looking for a Business Development Representative who can assist in the growth of Potomac Debate Academy.
Potomac Debate offers a starting base salary of $50,000 - $60,000 per year, on top of commission for meeting sales goals.
**Primary responsibilities** include:
The Business Development Representative plays a crucial role in growing our student body by satisfying existing and new customer needs. Under the direction of the Director of Operations, the Business Development Representative will work with members of the administrative team to:
- Follow sales leads and connecting with prospective customers
- Close sales by building rapport with potential/existing clients and solving challenges they have with our products and services
- Expanding sales by introducing new services and products to existing and potential clients
- Ensuring a positive student experience by establishing a professional rapport with prospective families, helping resolve any challenges or issues they may encounter
- Cultivating and managing customer relationships with new and existing clients
- Participate in marketing events such as webinars and informational sessions
- Work closely with leadership team to study and develop sales and marketing strategies to support evolving sales needs
- Listen to potential family concerns/objections and communicate feedback with leadership team
- Lead the development of new growth opportunities, such as SMS campaigning, customer service chats, or other new customer outreach strategies
- Meet or exceed monthly sales targets
- An Associates or Bachelor's from an accredited university.
- 3+ years of successful experience in sales
- CRM experience, especially Active Campaign
- Any competitive debate experience is a bonus
- Strong communication, problem solving, customer support, and organizational skills
- An ability to work in a fast paced environment where quick decisions need to be made
- An ability to take initiative, make mistakes, and then try again
- A high degree of moral integrity. We prize honesty and hard work above all else
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 40 per week
