**Park-9 Dog Bar **is a unique destination for dogs and their pet parents. We are looking for a proven leader who is able to bring this new concept in dog and human hospitality to the next level. This new position as Venue Manager is charged with cultivating a great guest experince by ensuring that all parts of the organization integrate seamlessly to make our guests the priority.

We’ve meticulously designed over 10,000 square feet of bar and indoor park space to create a fun, clean, and safe environment where both dogs and humans are welcome. Guests can choose their own adventure and take advantage of our multiple on
- and off-leash areas (both in and outdoors). Our 5,000 square foot indoor park, featuring a full-service bar, is climate-controlled for year-round enjoyment.

Our **Venue Manager** will have extensive employee management, hospitality, events, and customer service experience, including developing and tracking metrics that will guide operational success. Knowledge of the dog care industry is not necessary, but this individual will be expected to quickly learn the ins and outs of all Park-9 services. We require a positive attitude, outgoing personality, dedication to providing an unparalleled experience for our clientele, and, of course, a love of dogs.

This position will direct all daily operations of the bar and dog park in our flagship location in Everett. Direct reports will include the dog park manager and bar leads, and this position reports to the COO.

**Responsibilities will include but are not limited to**:
**Staff Management**
- Manage daily operations of the dog park and bar, by specifically ensuring that Park-9 standards for cleanliness, safety and hospitality are upheld.
- Approve all staff scheduling to ensure adequate and consistent coverage
- Facilitate staff hiring and training
- Validation of payroll and coordination of bar tips
- Review staff corrective actions, and support as required for desired outcome.

**Guest Relations**
- Ensure that all staff meet or exceed the hospitality standards of Park-9, by demonstrating and reinforcing desired behavior. Floor management during high volume hours (including nights and weekends)
- Handle escalated guest correspondence and complaints
- Lead guest retention initiatives

**Operations**
- Maintain budgets and manage expenses; identify and correct variances
- Evaluate and make recommendations for improved operations and financial performance
- Weekly banking and cash management
- Coordination with food vendors to ensure service standards and volume preparedness
- Supply ordering
- POS day-to-day management

**Events**
- Public event planning and day-of execution
- Coordinate with Event Manager for private event execution and staffing needs, from initial planning to day of event execution

**Leadership Communication**
- Elevate key issues for strategic alignment
- Communicate key business updates
- Identification and coordination of on-site maintenance
- Representation of business health, business metrics for location
- Compile daily, weekly, and monthly data/sales for leadership team to review

**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**
- 3- 5 years’ experience as a site / venue manager, Assistant General Manager, or similar managerial role in a restaurant, bar or other hospitality setting; or comparable experience
- Experience in planning and budgeting for multi-million-dollar operation (short and long-term)
- Knowledge of business processes and functions (finance, human resources, procurement, operations, etc.)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge / experience with POS systems
- Strong analytical ability, as demonstrated by developing and interpreting operational and statistical reports.
- Excellent communication skills
- Demonstrated organizational and leadership skills
- Problem-solving aptitude
- Bachelors in business or relevant field; Masters is a plus, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience executing larger events a plus

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
