An independent boutique hotel that just opened in the heart of downtown Evanston seeking a Rooms Manager.

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree
- At least 2 years of experience in a hotel working as a rooms manager

**Responsibilities**
- Create schedules for the front desk, room attendants, laundry staff, and other departments in the hotel.
- Ensure all the required operations of the housekeeping and front desk is met to make sure a smooth operation of the guest stay
- Effectively communicate with housekeeping and front desk departments to ensure availability of supplies and tools.
- Ensure that the laundry department operation is performed smoothly to meet the housekeeping needs.
- Supervise that all storage rooms are complete with supplies and order any needed items
- Proactively address guest concerns and perform necessary required corrections by communicating with the front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance departments.
- Listen to guests and empathize with their challenges and act on guests concerns.
- Know and communicate hotel emergency procedures; inform and assist guests and operations in emergencies.

**Communication**:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong problem-solving abilities
- Experience with Microsoft Office systems
- Must be able to speak, read, and write in primary language used in the workplace

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

**Experience**:

- Hotel management: 2 years (required)
- Hospitality: 1 year (preferred)

Ability to Commute:

- Evanston, IL 60201 (preferred)

Ability to Relocate:

- Evanston, IL 60201: Relocate before starting work (required)

Work Location: In person
