**PARK MAINTENANCE WORKER I - SIERRA DISTRICT / LAKE TAHOE SECTOR - FACILITIES DEVELOPMENT / LAKE TAHOE SOUTH**

The reporting location for this position is Sierra District Maintenance Shop, Sugar Pine Point State Park in Tahoma CA, and performs all maintenance functions at D.L. Bliss State Park and Emerald Bay. This position will work under the supervision of the Lake Tahoe Sector Park Maintenance Supervisor.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the professional maintenance team at Sierra District. The Park Maintenance Worker I has primary responsibility to oversee the day to day operations and maintenance of parks within the Lake Sector of the Sierra District. This position will perform skilled and semi-skilled structural and facility maintenance and repair work throughout the Sector on a wide variety of park facilities, including buildings, systems, grounds, roads and trails; estimates and purchases materials and supplies; keeps tools and equipment in good condition; keeps records and prepares reports as required. The incumbent may lead and train a crew of maintenance employees. This position may be required to perform duties throughout the Lake Tahoe Sector.

The incumbent’s work schedule will be Friday - Tuesday from 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

This position is designated as not telework eligible.

Training and Development Assignments may be considered.

Working Conditions
- Typical work activities involve frequent periods of bending, stooping, lifting up to 50lbs., hiking long distances, pushing, pulling, squatting, crawling, climbing, sitting, and working at high altitudes.
- Perform indoor and outdoor work often in inclement weather including very heavy snow.
- May have extensive exposure to dirt, dust, fumes, unpleasant odors and/or loud noises
- May work in remote locations, inclement weather and high altitudes to 8400 feet
- Will operate a varitey of equipment and tools
- Available for call outs, and may be required to work weekends and holidays
