We are a company that promotes from within, both in our retail and corporate operations. The Demand Planner is responsible for article level sales forecasting for their product category. The Demand Planner creates and maintains forecasts and monitors the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of data inputs. They use other business intelligence gathered from Merchandising, Marketing, Finance, Supply Planners, and Fulfillment Analysts, and suppliers to identify where the machine learning generated demand forecast may lack insight. The Demand Planner then works collaboratively to ensure that the demand forecast feeds key planning processes both upstream and downstream throughout Discount Tire. The demand forecast is the front end of these processes, including supply planning and fulfillment.

**Essential Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Develop demand forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons.
- Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, evaluate results and drive improvements to forecast accuracy.
- Coordinate cross functional research activities to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated Merchandising and Marketing assumptions.
- Interact with Merchandising, Marketing and Finance to obtain and ensure that current and accurate information is used for demand forecasts.
- Use and maintain the Demand Planning software as the primary forecasting system tool.
- Align product transitions with Merchandising and communicate to Supply Planning for the development of inventory strategies on exits and new product launches.
- Collaborate with Supply Planners and Fulfillment Analysts to ensure an accurate demand forecast feeds our supply planning and fulfillment execution.

**Qualifications**:
Two to three years of prior experience in Demand Planning, Supply Planning, or as a Fulfillment Analyst. Skills expected: critical thinking, verbal and written communication, planning and organization, collaboration, results focus, problem solver, comfort working with systems and large data sets, influencing

**Work Days**:
Normal work days are Monday through Friday. Occasional Saturdays and Sundays may be necessary.

**Work Hours**:
Normal work hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Additional hours may be necessary.

Local Travel is required

**Educational Requirements**:
BA or BS college degree preferred
