**Specific Duties & Responsibilities**
- Responsible for developing in Apex, LWC, JavaScript, CSS and other technologies to build customized solutions that support business requirements and drive key business decisions.
- Seek out ways to utilize SFDC to improve processes and productivity and make recommendations to support an organization scaling at a rapid pace.

**Specific Devices, Software, Projects**
- Develop new solutions for the university using the Salesforce platform and help build competency in this environment among other members of the technical staff.

**Scale/size of Area, Project and/or System Supported**
- Scale of solutions ranges from function or division specific to university-wide, with an emphasis on the latter, impacting students, faculty and staff across the university.

**Additional information**
- Due to the very technical nature of the work, the software engineer needs to be able to adapt to changes in technology and environment quickly and easy, as well as serve as a change agent in promoting change among colleagues within the organization and its user communities. Projects are often demanding and may impose aggressive timelines.

**Minimum Qualifications**
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Five years related experience.
- Detailed experience writing Apex, Lightning Web Components, CSS and Visualforce.
- Experience using Salesforce tooling including SFDX including the SF CLI.
- Proficiency in version control using git including branching and merging strategies.
- Experience using SFDC CI/CD practices.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, SQL, modern web technologies and APIs.
- Experience working in an Agile software development environment.
- Additional education may substitute for required experience and additional related experience may substitute for required education, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Strong business analysis and functional experience, including requirements gathering, creating/deploying solutions to end users.
- Ability to work in complex and large-scale implementation and troubleshoot and resolve customer issue.
