**# of People Supported**: 1 (Payroll Coordinator)

**Supervisory Responsibilities**:

- Assist with supervision of any work-study student, including assigning and managing tasks, training, etc.

**Duties/Responsibilities**:

- Process payroll for all full-time, part-time, and adjunct university employees, including manual check preparation, garnishment calculation, and compliance.
- Execute time and attendance processing and interface with the Colleague system.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as required by external agencies, administration and campus departments.
- Reconcile payroll-clearing liability accounts.
- Assist university employees regarding payroll inquiries.
- Assist with employee benefits deduction catchup and refund reconciliation.
- Data entry for recording finance system transactions and data retention needs, including tax reconciliation, journal entries, and accruals.
- Manage record retention according to best practices and state mandates.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

**Required Skills/Abilities**:

- Ability to work well with other staff, faculty, and students and contribute to a team atmosphere.
- Capable of communicating clearly with co-workers, students, and outside professionals both orally and in writing.
- Experience in an educational environment preferred.
- Knowledge of Ellucian Colleague System preferred.

**Qualifications**:
**Education**:

- Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred. Business-related college coursework is preferred.

**Experience**:

- Minimum of two years' office/bookkeeping experience required; accounting and payroll experience preferred.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

**Hours Expectation**:
Part-time, 29 hours or less per week
