The Lung Center is seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join their team, providing support in both front and back-office operations. The Medical Assistant will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care, ensuring efficient administrative processes, and facilitating smooth clinic operations. This position requires a strong commitment to patient well-being, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle both clinical and administrative tasks effectively.

Travel Required: Monday, Tuesday & Thursday at Mercy Medical Center Downtown Campus and Wednesday & Friday at Overlea Personal Physicians

Job Responsibilities:

- Front Office duties include, but are not limited to:

- Patient registration, updating existing patient information, and verifying insurance coverage accurately.
- Answering phones, scheduling appointments and other procedures, coordinating with patients and other healthcare professionals as necessary.
- Back Office duties include, but are not limited to:

- Rooming the patient including taking vital signs, including weight, height, blood pressure, body mass index (BMI), and other pertinent information
- Documenting medical histories, procedures, and treatments accurately
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of examination rooms, ensuring adequate inventory of medical supplies and equipment.

Job Requirements:
**EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE**
- ** Education and Work Experience**:

- High School Diploma or GED
- Medical office experience preferred
- EPIC experience preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to maintain professionalism and empathy in challenging situations
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment
