Life Tech's continued growth has created an opening for a Buyer for our Elmhurst, IL location. The Buyer will research and purchase supplies, equipment, and services required to support the delivery of healthcare services to patients.

**Responsibilities and Duties of Buyer**:

- Oversees, monitors and maintains current inventory and stock levels across locations to help prevent shortages or excess inventory.
- Researches, analyzes, and forecasts current and future demand and buying trends to avoid stock outs while minimizing excess inventory to control costs.
- Collaborates with colleagues across different departments to meet the needs of internal end-users, patients, and caregivers
- Develops and maintains relationships with wholesalers and suppliers.
- Supports contract negotiation with wholesalers and suppliers.
- Facilitates the purchase of equipment and supplies.
- Assesses financial risks of purchases and proactively engages with management and/or third-party vendors to identify potential alternatives that help manage costs.
- Maintains accurate records and documentation to maintain transparency and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
- Supports data and analytics needs associated with identifying trends, maintaining KPIs, and strengthening individual, department, and organizational performance.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Efficient typing skills, with an emphasis on accuracy and legal aspects of purchasing.
- specifically modules that support supply chain management.
- Ability to compile information and make decisions.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to multitask and shift priorities as needed.
- Comfort/willingness to continuously learn and expand skill sets.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate effectively, build consensus, and work with cross-functional teams.
- At least two years of supply chain or experience in a related field required; purchasing, procurement, and/or inventory management experience within healthcare preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Economics, or related field preferred.
- Background check and drug screen is performed on all employees

Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
