**Compensation Range: $85,000/yr - $90,000/yr commensurate with experience**

**Overview**:
The Fresh Meadows Emergency & Transitional Housing (ETH) Program provides comprehensive, time-limited support services and housing placement assistance to individuals with health and or/behavioral health issues who need assistance with re-establishing themselves in the community following involvement with the justice system. With a strong background and understanding of interdisciplinary teams, the Director of Clinical Services facilitates communication and coordination among members of the care team, ensuring involvement of all disciplines needed to help residents achieve their housing goals. The Director of Clinical Services also contributes to the overall quality of the ETH program by tracking performance and outcomes, advocating for residents, and collaborating with Housing Operations and Justice Initiatives leadership to drive improvements as needed. As a member of the ETH program leadership team, the Director of Clinical Services collaborates with leaders across the organization to further the agency’s mission and strategic objectives, and exemplifies the core values of All In, High Performance, Membership and being Stronger Together in their day-to-day work.

**Responsibilities**:

- Promote resident quality of care and program objectives by providing leadership and oversight to the interdisciplinary care planning process.
- Use harm reduction and trauma-informed interventions and practices to help maintain a safe and healing environment for residents.
- Use case conferencing, care team meetings, or similar interventions to enable participation of all disciplines in the care planning process.
- Facilitate interdisciplinary communication about resident emerging or unmet needs as related to their ability to participate in the process of securing more permanent housing in the community.
- Collaborate with Housing Works department heads on program intake and assessment workflows to ensure timely identification service needs for current and prospective residents.
- Supervise behavioral health counselors and interns.
- Intervene in crises as needed, and provide direct, time-limited mental health services to residents as needed.
- Effectively use available data to report on clinical performance metrics, inform decision making and establish priorities for quality improvement.
- Solicit input from residents and staff about opportunities for quality improvement.
- Provide direction and guidance to the development of interventions that address resident non-participation and code of conduct violations, including but not limited to issuing warnings, service agreements and contracts, and discharge.
- Work closely with Housing Works’ department head and executive leaders on issues related to safety, budget, contract compliance, funder communications, vendor management and community relations.
- Supervise social work staff at other hotels providing comparable services based on staffing patterns/requirements

Minimum Requirements
- Licensed Master of Social Work (LMSW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) preferred
- Minimum of 3 years’ applicable experience (supervisory, administrative, program management) experience.
- Experience providing direct services or care to individuals with mental health or substance use issues, homelessness, or other complex conditions.
