**Dental Assistant for Endo Specialty Office in Poway - Full Time M-F 40 hours/week**
We are looking for a kind, caring, and dependable dental assistant who is committed to learning, takes pride in providing an amazing experience for patients, and wants to be a part of our work family. Every team members in our office is crossed trained between chair side assisting and front office duties so we can work seamlessly to care of our patients. The position will be mainly back office duties to start out.
**Job Requirements**:
- CA radiograph certificate (Radiation Safety)** must have
- CPR/BLS
- DA Certificate (we do not need RDA)
- 1-2 years of dental experience (endodontic experience preferred)
- Speaks Spanish and/or Tagalog strongly preferred
**Responsibilities**:
- Four-handed dentistry: Chair-side assisting Endodonist in root canal treatment, retreatment, and surgery (six-handed)
- Take 2D and 3D X-ray images with accuracy and efficiency
- Provide pre and post ops care instructions and address patients’ needs
- Breakdown, disinfect, and setup treatment rooms with efficiency
- Take vital signs and record medical and dental histories using digital software
- Sterilize instruments and equipment
- Assist front office duties (schedule patients, take payments, etc) as needed
**Skills**:
- Quick learner who can take initiative.
- Be able to learn and understand endodontic equipment and file systems
- Be passionate and motivated to learn, succeed, and grow with our practice
- Excellent communication and people skills to provide superior customer service
- Well organized and reliable with strong work ethics
- Attention to details
- Strong desire to be crossed trained: Chair side assisting and front office duties
- Caring and empathetic
- Works well in a team
- Good computer skills (we are a paperless office)
**Compensation**:
- $20-$27/hr - depending on experience
