**Job Summary**:
The Assistant General Manager (AGM) will work closely with the General Manager and the entire team to create and maintain a profitable and high-quality restaurant environment. The AGM is responsible for supporting cost management, labor management, recruiting, training, and ensuring compliance with company policies. This role requires dependability, self-reliance, excellent guest hospitality, and effective coaching skills. The AGM must possess strong organizational and prioritization skills and maintain a focused, team-oriented attitude to ensure memorable experiences for all guests.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:
**Staff Management**:

- Teach, motivate, coach, and discipline staff while earning their respect.
- Handle interviewing, hiring, warning, counseling, and firing employees, ensuring proper documentation and discussions with the General Manager.
- Manage assistant management development.

**Operational Excellence**:

- Ensure strict cash handling procedures.
- Maintain composure and finesse under stress and high-volume situations.
- Uphold company standards and expectations.
- Address issues of discrimination or harassment according to policy, contacting the General Manager immediately when necessary.
- Promote a respectful and intimidation-free workplace.

**Sales and Cost Management**:

- Drive sales by collaborating with the General Manager, Managers, and team members.
- Proficiently understand the P&L and help control all costs.
- Assist in ordering and inventory management.

**Front of House Management**:

- Manage schedules, training, and onboarding of new employees.
- Ensure uniform standards are maintained across departments.
- Maintain overall organization and cleanliness of the restaurant.

**Compliance and Safety**:

- Enforce safety and sanitary practices and ensure regulatory compliance for the kitchen area.
- Ensure responsible alcohol service in accordance with the law.
- Ensure all security measures are in place.

**Administrative Duties**:
**Pay and review invoices**:

- Maintain employee files with up-to-date documentation as required by state law.

**Supervision Received**:

- This position reports directly to the General Manager.

**Uniform Standards**:

- The Assistant General Manager must always present a professional appearance, with specific details discussed during hiring.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Minimum 2 years' experience as Assistant Restaurant Manager.
- Positive, team-first attitude.
- Efficient task management.
- Punctuality and reliability.
- Ability to follow multi-step instructions and adapt to changing situations.
- Proficiency in mathematical computations for cash handling and bank deposits.
- Understanding of P&Ls, budgeting, and cost control.
- Effective communication skills.
- Completion of required training and compliance with local and state regulations for food and alcohol service.
- Experience with Resy, Toast POS, and 7-Shifts scheduling system is a plus.

**Certificates, Licenses, Registrations**:

- Must acquire and maintain any required licenses, certificates, or permits.
- Completion of orientation and training program under General Manager supervision is required.

**Physical Demands**:

- The role requires standing, walking, using hands and fingers, and talking or hearing.
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
