**About the Role**

We are looking for a Director, Connections Strategy to lead connections for one of our brands. As Director of Connections Strategy, you will demonstrate an intimate understanding of how the target audience interacts with channels and technology, this pivotal role demands a focus on how to solve business challenges most effectively through an orchestrated system of touchpoints.

**What You’ll Do**
- Lead the comms planning journey, establishing a strategic vision on how media informs and inspires creative ideas, and how this translates into effective go to market strategies across paid, owned and earned.
- Define and implement structures, frameworks, training sessions and initiatives to ensure a high level of satisfaction among our strategy team, as well as healthy team growth
- Inspire, coach, train and challenge a team of passionate and vibrant strategists.
- Participate in key integrated pitches and new business initiatives with other leads, to unlock significant revenue opportunities.
- Establish vision for consumer insights work & custom research that strategic ideation is grounded in, validating the direction (in partnership with measurement leads)
- Partner with client teams on campaign/business briefs to ensure they are crafted through a lens that delivers the necessary information required for successful execution
- Lead presentations/discussions with the clients around strategic ideas, sharing the recommended direction and rationale as to why this is the right approach.
- Champion the work by having a deep understanding of our clients’ businesses.
- Measurably expand utilization of digital, analytics and communication strategy creation capabilities within the media strategy team
- Continuously survey pulse of client and client-industry needs to prompt and feed innovative ideas/solutions to internal digital, analytics and human experience creation leads
- Build and hone deep and trusting relationships with decision-makers/influencers at assigned clients to foster new business opportunities and organic growth
- Proactively ideate with team and colleagues to produce novel (award-worthy) solutions for clients

**What You’ll Need**
- 8+ years of experience plus with 5+ years in comms planning/planning/or similar position; global media experience preferred.
- B2B experience preferred.
- Pitch experience with a proven track record
- Experience across all media types (national, local, digital, direct, programmatic, etc.)
- Strong relationship management experience
- Ability to anticipate and quickly assess changing client needs and adapt resources and strategies accordingly.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, organizational, interpersonal and analytical skills
- Ability to translate data into viable business solutions to enhance strategies and meet deliverables.
- Excellent leadership ability to drive team to deliver results.
- Proven ability to think strategically and teaching others to think strategically.
- Ability to rally team members around a new solution.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, particularly PowerPoint and Excel; Keynote

**Pay Range**
