Accountant

Sun River Health is seeking a full-time Accountant to join our Peekskill Executive Office at 35 hours per week.

Summary of position:
Preforms all functions of accounting, including but not limited to Journal Entries, account analysis, AR Management, Fixed Assets, Financial Statement preparation, Bank reconciliations and Balance Sheet schedules. Work with the Assistant Controller on issues of Financial Accounting principles and treatments thereof. Reports and is responsible to the Assistant Controller.

Responsibilities include:

- Record 340B revenue/expenses and maintains schedules including the AR Aging report to be distributed to Finance/340B team
- Reconciles Fixed Assets through the Fixed Asset Module, Excel schedules, Depreciation reports, Disposal forms and Auditors Report
- Prepares various bank reconciliations to be reviewed by the Controller
- Assists with Annual audit process
- Maintains assigned balance sheet schedules for Sun River
- Preform Ad-Hoc projects and analysis as needed
- Assists with the preparation of the monthly financial packet via notes, analysis and graphs
- Manages Accounts Receivable for S4CH-which includes Invoice preparation, AR Analysis and Payment collection.
- Assists with account analysis and journal entries for Sun River Health
- Prepares Journal Entries for assigned Subsidiaries on a monthly basis and prepares financial statements for review by Controller/Assistant Controller

- Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, VLOOKUP’s
- Ability to prioritize workload to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ownership of work with attention to detail.
- Team player with excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to clearly communicate issues to all levels of management.
- Experience in grant or fund accounting a plus
- Audit and/or Not-For-Profit accounting a plus

Education Requirement:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
