**Location**: Baltimore, MD

**Position Status**: Full-time (40 Hours/Week), Non-Exempt

**Office Hours**: Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Some flexibility in hours is allowed.

**Compensation**:Begins at $20.50 per Hour

**Case Management**
- Complies with CARF/COMAR/HIPPA/State compliance regulations.
- May serve as a primary contact for orienting clients about ABH services, answer inquiries, and complete a thorough intake process including consent forms.
- Primary point of contact to provide resources to both clients and therapists including educational, employment, safe housing, healthcare, meal planning, budgeting, and counseling services, to support clients in achieving their goals.
- Monitors cases by verifying clients’ attendance and compliance to treatment and communicating updates with therapists and supervisors.
- Prepares clients’ discharge by reviewing and amplifying discharge plans; coordinating discharge and post-discharge requirements; orienting and training family members; providing resources.
- Review closed client records to ensure accuracy and compliance with ABH’s discharge policy of having a warning/discharge letter and proper discharge summary with resources attached.
- Diligently sends discharge warnings and discharges clients in EMR system and Optum.
- Actively works on acquiring authorizations through Optum.

**Patient Coordination**
- May provide support with assisting patients with the check-in and check-out processes, including taking vitals, scheduling of next appointment accurately in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system, and preparing off work/off school notes for attending scheduled appointments as requested by patients.
- Provides outreach for missed appointments, monitors and tracks no shows, and communicates these updates with the Clinical Coordinator/Supervisor.
- Manages and processes medication refill requests for patients enrolled by following company protocols; complete medication prior authorizations as required by Maryland Medicaid through necessary paperwork and/or by calling the insurance company.
- Consistently updates daily authorizations in the Dr. Cloud EMR system.
- Ongoing maintenance of EMR, including updating patient demographic and billing information and compliance check of intake and consent forms in EMR to ensure patient data is accurate.
- Creates medical records for new patients in EMR, uploading and recording authorization information.
- Obtains and verifies insurance eligibility for all applicable patients along with co-pay collection.
- Coordinates with Site Director and Therapists to ensure cases are assigned and discharged regularly.
- Conducts ABH patient reminder calls and verifies current and valid authorization information for each patient scheduled with all Doctors and Nurse Practitioners 48 hours prior to scheduled appointments.
- Acts as primary point-of-contact for referring vendors and communicates status of their referrals throughout the referral process and scans and uploads referral documents to clients’ EMR charts upon completion of referral.
- Maintains referral log/referral tracking system and distributes to appropriate provider and/or department and reports end of month tally of patient referrals to supervisor(s) and Site Director.
- Sorts and distributes clinic mail and correspondence.
- Maintain a clean and professional front desk work area as well as waiting area. Organize therapy rooms as needed.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or related discipline preferred.
- Must possess excellent communication and customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with patients, other administrative team members, and staff. Able to work well as part of a team.
- Must be computer literate and able to operate standard office equipment, including but not limited to, computers, telephone systems, calculators, copiers and facsimile machines. Experience working with an electronic medical records/scheduling system is a plus but not a requirement.
- Experience is preferred working with health insurances (specifically, basic knowledge of insurance reimbursement, patient responsibility, how deductibles and co-pays factor in, etc.). Billing experience is not necessary.
- Bilingual - fluent in English and Spanish preferred.
