**TELEWORK**

**YOUR FUTURE TEAM**

As part of TCEQ Compliance and Enforcement, you would help ensure that those we regulate comply with the state’s environmental laws. See details about what we do.

This position is a member of our Enforcement Division.

**WHAT YOU WILL DO**

As a part of the division’s Enforcement team, our Enforcement Audit Act Coordinator will play a key role in achieving TCEQ’s mission. You would use your skills and experience to:

- Perform routine work in the fields of air, water, and/or waste environmental audits for the Enforcement Division of the TCEQ.
- Review notices of intent to conduct environmental audits, requests for extensions of self-audit investigations, and disclosures of violations submitted pursuant to the Texas Environmental, Health and Safety Audit Privilege Act; determine compliance of audits with Audit Act; and prepare appropriate agency responses.
- Track environmental audits by conducting investigations; and document Audit Act correspondences and agency responses, violations, and conditionally granted immunities.
- Provide assistance and information to agency staff, public, regulated community, and others regarding environmental audits and/or Agency rules and/or policies.

**Qualifications**

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**

A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, with a major in a natural or physical science, engineering, environmental studies, criminal justice, or related field.
- One year of full-time experience in the field of environmental activities directly related to the examples of work performed may be substituted for each year (30 semester hours) of the required education.

**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**
- Experience determining compliance with environmental rules, statutes, and/or policies.
- Experience coordinating, managing, or overseeing multiple projects, cases, or accounts.
- Experience maintaining or updating databases.
- Experience evaluating fact data, scientific results, and/or regulatory information.
