- **Position Overview**:

- The Immunization Program Generalist is expected to work well with the public and staff members and have strong written and oral communication skills.
- **Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Administrative Support: Maintains filing systems, manages phone communications, handles vaccine transfers, and performs general office tasks.Stakeholder Engagement: Maintains and communicates with a list of stakeholders and providers to increase community involvement in immunizations.-
- Resource Management: Maintains a compiled list of local medical providers and vaccination sites for traveling vaccines.-
- Provider Enrollment and Training: Assists with TVFC provider new enrollment, conducts provider training, and ensures adherence to program rules.-
- Educational Outreach: Provides education about the TVFC and ASN programs to stakeholders.-
- Program Coordination: Potentially serves as a secondary coordinator for the TVFC and ASN program.-
- Emergency Response: Responds to vaccine storage alarm systems, including during irregular hours.**Harris County is an Equal Opportunity Employer**Requirements**:
**Education**:
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Nursing, Health Administration, or a related field.**Experience**:
- At least three (3) years of experience working in a public health or healthcare setting.-
- At least one (1) year of experience in operational support.**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)-
- Strong written and oral communication skills, and ability to multi-task and adjust priorities as needed-
- Self-directed with a high degree of critical thinking, independent judgment, problem solving ability-
- Ability to analyze and report complex financial information to reach sound conclusions and make practical recommendations-
- Ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information-
- Ability to work well with public and staff members-
