**JOB DESCRIPTION**

Executive Director, Oscar & Ma Company, (Nonprofit)

**Overview**: As the Executive Director of Oscar & Ma you will play a pivotal role in the overall leadership of our nonprofit organization, encompassing a Workforce Development Program and an Events Management Social Enterprise. This is an exciting, entrepreneurial position that requires a dynamic and visionary leader with a passion for social impact, a keen understanding of workforce development, and experience in managing successful events such as fundraisers and galas.

**Responsibilities**:
1. **Strategic Leadership**:

- Work with the Founder and the Board of Directors to develop and execute a visionary strategic plan that aligns with the organization's mission and goals.
- Provide leadership and direction to the executive team and staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
- Drive initiatives that advance the organization's impact in workforce development and events management.

2. **Workforce Development Program**:

- Oversee the development and implementation of comprehensive workforce development programs.
- Collaborate with industry partners, educational institutions, and government agencies to enhance program effectiveness and relevance.
- Ensure the academy's curriculum is current, meeting industry standards and addressing the needs of a diverse workforce clients.
- Work with nonprofit partners to bring in a steady flow of clients who receive the workforce training.
- Foster relationship with CalOptima and others to ensure smooth management of Academy program and reimbursements.

3. **Event Management Social Enterprise**:

- Lead the Event Management Social Enterprise, overseeing the planning and execution of events with a focus on quality, results and client satisfaction.
- Identify business opportunities and develop strategies to grow the enterprise, ensuring financial sustainability.
- Engage with new and potential clients, to close business.
- Nurture relationships with current clients, sponsors, and vendors to enhance the organization's reputation and revenue streams.

4. **Fundraising & Financial Management**:

- Seek and secure funding through grants, partnerships, and other revenue-generating activities.
- Engage with major donors Major Donors both to cultivate new donors and manage current relationships.
- Work closely with the finance team to develop and manage budgets, cashflow for both the nonprofit organization and the social enterprise.
- Work with executive team to oversee accounting, payroll, bill pay, budget and HR.

5. **Advocacy and Networking**:

- Represent the organization at local, regional, and national levels, advocating for workforce development and social enterprise initiatives.
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, corporate partners, and community organizations.
- Work with marketing to on current branding, outbound communications and fundraising for Oscar & Ma.

6. **Impact Measurement**:

- Establish and oversee a robust system for measuring the impact of the organization's programs and initiatives.
- Regularly report on outcomes and achievements to the Board of Directors, funders, and other stakeholders.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven leadership experience in a nonprofit, social enterprise or business setting, with a track record of successful program management and financial sustainability.
- Ability to work well in an entrepreneurial environment and to manage complex responsibilities without supervision.
- Strong understanding of workforce development and event management principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders and clients.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans.
- Demonstrated success in fundraising, grant writing, and revenue generation.
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in a relevant field. MBA preferred

**Additional**:
Role reports to Founder

Salary & Benefits $135K-$150K annual depending on experience

Pay: $135,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
