PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE JOB: This position is responsible for the supervision and production within the manufacturing facility to insure that all product meets both the company’s and customer’s quality and delivery standards. This includes coordinating activities of all departments, monitoring production effectiveness and enforcement of company policy and quality standards while being a positive company representative. This is a hands on position which daily assists department supervisors with problem solving all issues related to the production process.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

- Assist department lead people with problem solving of production related issues
- Coordinate workload between departments
- Assist with development of procedures to accomplish manufacturing goals
- Determine labor requirements and make recommendations for effective utilization
- Assisting with the physical production process if needed
- Analyze processes and paperwork to attain process improvement
- Assist department lead people with monitoring and reviewing employees performance, skill level, training needs
- Assist with coordination of new projects
- Investigation of time exceptions on jobs
- Process Change Notices through the shop and Customer Service
- Monitor hot customer orders
- Provide supervision and direction to department supervisors

REQUIRED ABILITIES:

- Effective supervision skills and experience
- Self motivation
- Ability to interact well with all levels of people
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Manufacturing knowledge of the product line and sheet metal processes
- Advanced math skills
- Advanced blueprint skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks
- Proficient computer skills
- Trained in continuous improvement and supervisory skills
- Knowledge of overall shop processes

WORKING CONDITIONS:

- Shop position with interaction between all shop departments and office personnel
- **This position reports to company management.**
