The primary duties of this position are to assist the Chief Financial Officer, Finance Manager, Program Staff, State General Accounting Office, and State Treasurer in defining, writing, implementing and maintaining accounting, budget control, procurement, internal control, payroll, fixed assets and operational procedures. This position supervises personnel involved in the day-to-day management of diverse court-wide finance-related duties.

In addition, this position develops and maintains accounting, budgeting, internal control and financial policies and procedures for the Financial Office; serves as a New World Accounting System Administrator and performs periodic system balancing and year-end closing functions; reconciles New World revenues and fund balances with AFIS and supervises expenditure reconciliation; maintains cost pool budget request, transaction counts and cost allocation spreadsheets.

This position also provides technical assistance to Division Directors, Program Managers and Budget Analysts in financial and budgetary management of assigned programs; maintains chart of accounts and performs account maintenance; as well as conducts periodic training sessions for Supreme Court employees on the New World Financial System; perform periodic compliance audits; and develops and maintains systems for capturing and reporting performance measures.

This position may be eligible for a hybrid-telework schedule once the employee has completed three (3) months of employment and has sufficiently proved their ability to perform assigned tasks.
