Sammy's House is a nonprofit organization that provides high-quality education and care to children both with and without disabilities. **The agency is hiring a full-time, non-exempt, executive development assistant/volunteer coordinator. This role carries responsibilities in administrative tasks, volunteer coordination, and provides support to the executive development team. Must be willing to work with children and have a desire to help children of all abilities.**

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist with volunteer management, including responding to volunteer interest, maintenance of database, updating volunteer website, and volunteer tracking
- Coordinate volunteer support, replenish/organize/manage onsite resources and needs for projects and volunteer duties
- Act as a site host by greeting volunteers, assisting with sign-in and delegation of duties
- Act as the representative of Sammy’s House during community outreach events to assist with volunteer cultivation
- Assist development team with fundraising efforts, event coordination, and distribution of marketing materials
- Assist with event logistics
- Send out donation requests, tracks responses, and picks up donations
- Provides administrative support to both the Development Director and Executive Director which may include an array of projects
- Maintain ECE teaching credentials and substitutes when necessary
- Maintain fundraising inventory and makes purchases when needed
- Take project visions, add creativity, and bring them to life
- Perform additional tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

- Degree preferred or equivalent work experience
- Proven experience as an Administrative Assistant, Volunteer Coordinator, or equivalent
- Childcare experience required as this position includes occasional substitute duties
- Experience in volunteer coordination
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well on a small team
- Willingness to be flexible as needs arise
- Proficient in MS Office Suite; experience with QuickBooks, Canva, and volunteer management system preferred
- Experience coordinating events (preferred)
- Must be able to lift 40lbs and stand for long periods of time when supervising children and/or doing event preparation
