**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Classifies, consolidates, summarizes, sorts, files, and distributes documents and information.
- Receives, sorts, and associates documents with client files. Distributes incoming mail. Logs incoming mail into HAPPY computer system. Pulls and returns files for counselors. Makes copies as required.
- Tracks verification requests; prepares and sends out second request-third party verifications to various organizations for salary and/or asset information.
- Answers general questions from landlords, potential landlords, and/or clients via telephone and/or in person.
- Utilizes computer, calculator and other standard office equipment to record, retrieve and store information.
- Compiles various regular reports and/or correspondence in accordance with standard operating procedures as required and types routine or other correspondence as required.
- Advises clients of their waiting list position both in person and via telephone.
- Logs and prepares files for storage. Requests stored files as needed. Organizes and maintains filing system for active and terminated files. Splits active files into an orderly system.
- Provides back up relief to the receptionist as needed.
- Provides support to the Assistant Director and Occupancy staff.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
**Minimum Requirements**:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Six (6) months of general office and/or clerical experience.
**If hired, you must provide proof of educational attainment at new hire processing.**
- Tarrant County will conduct background checks on new hires that will include a criminal background check related to convictions and deferred adjudications in the past seven years and may include credit reports, motor vehicle records, employment records and educational attainment. A conviction or deferred adjudication is not an automatic bar to employment. Each case is considered individually.**Physical Demands and Work Environment & Other Requirements**:
- While performing the duties of this position, the incumbent is regularly required to walk, sit, stand, bend, stoop, lift, and reach.
