Implementation Specialist

**Position Overview**:
The Implementation Specialist is responsible for ensuring the seamless integration and functioning of technology for virtual Redwood sessions. This role requires a proactive individual who can troubleshoot technical issues, support students with behavioral challenges, and collaborate with school personnel and case management teams to meet individual student goals. The Implementation Specialist will play a vital role in fostering a positive learning environment and optimizing virtual and physical learning spaces.
**Key Responsibilities**:
Technology Preparation and Troubleshooting:
- Prepare technology for each student before each session, ensuring they are ready to begin on time.
- Troubleshoot technical issues with classroom technology, including assistive technology tools and EdTech platforms such as Google Suite, Zoom, Google Meets, and Koala Go.
- Develop proficiency in essential technologies and learning platforms and be able to problem-solve across all platforms, including Kami, Bookshare, and accessibility tools.
Student Support:
- Support struggling students with behavior challenges, employing appropriate strategies to foster a positive learning environment.
- Collaborate with the case management team to achieve IEP goals, tailoring support to individual student needs.
Relationship Building:
- Foster strong relationships with school personnel, acting as a liaison between the school and the implementation team.
- Actively engage with students, instructors, and school partners to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning experience.
Professional Development:
- Actively engage in ongoing professional development, demonstrating initiative and seeking clarification as needed to stay current with new technologies and best practices.
- Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to the role.
Learning Space Configuration and Maintenance:
- Configure and maintain various learning spaces, ensuring they are optimized for virtual instruction and tailored to the needs of students, instructors, and school partners.
- Regularly assess and update the configuration of learning spaces to accommodate changes in technology and instructional needs.
Operational Readiness:
- Arrive on campus 20 minutes before the start of the first session to ensure all preparations are completed and to address any last-minute issues.
- Ensure all technology and learning spaces are fully operational before the commencement of each session and that each space is left better than found after the end of each Redwood session.
Work Environment:
- This position may require travel to various school campuses and adapting to different educational settings.
- Flexibility in working hours may be required to accommodate the school and students' needs.
- By fulfilling these responsibilities, the Implementation Specialist will contribute to the successful integration of technology into the educational process, enhance the learning experience for students, and support the overall mission of the educational institution.
**Skills & Qualifications**
**Education**:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Associate’s degree or higher in Education, Child Development, or a related field (preferred).
Certifications & Training:
- Paraprofessional certification (required).
- CPR and First Aid certification (preferred).
- Training in special education or working with students with disabilities (preferred).
- Training in behavior management and intervention techniques (preferred).
**Experience**:
- Previous experience working as a paraprofessional, teacher assistant, or in a similar educational role (required).
- Experience working with children or adolescents, preferably in an educational setting (required).
Technical Skills:
- Proven experience in troubleshooting and maintaining educational technology and platforms.
- Strong proficiency in Google Suite, Zoom, Google Meets, and other relevant technologies.
- Experience working with assistive technologies and understanding of accessibility tools.
Interpersonal Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for building relationships with school personnel and students.
- Active listening skills to understand students' needs and concerns.
- Collaborative mindset toward building a positive learning environment.
