Your tasks
This is a 6-12-month trainee program depending on experience level.
**As a CNC Machinist Trainee, you will be responsible for**:
Operating CNC machining equipment following a production schedule.
Labeling parts correctly
Stamping parts when necessary
Moving finished parts to the proper areas.
Keeping the machine filled with coolant.
Ensuring that refractometer readings are within acceptable levels.
Monitoring and filling the way oil reservoir.
Maintaining a clean workstation.
Programming and machining new fixtures.
Training new employees.
Programming and machining prototype parts.
Programming and machining new jobs.

**Profile**:
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - MACHINIST TRAINEE 1
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
Continental is not able to pay relocation expenses for this opportunity.
No prior on-the-job experience or education required.
Ability to lift 25 lbs.
At 6 months, and upon successful demonstration of applicable core competencies, Trainees will progress to Trainee 2. After 12 months, and upon successful completion of the Machinist Trainee program, Trainees will progress to Machine Operator 1.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - MACHINIST TRAINEE 2
All basic qualifications required for Machinist Trainee 1, and minimum of 6 months of on-the-job machining experience, or minimum of 1 year of machining-related education.
