**Minimum Qualifications**
- Passion for HopeWorks’ mission
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in liberal arts or social science field such as Mass Communications, Women’s and/or Gender Studies, Public Health, Ethnic Studies. (highly encouraged but not required)
- Experience and/or training in volunteer program coordination
- Excellent computer and database skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Charity Proud, Constant Contact, Canva and Zoom.
- Excellent attention to detail and follow-through
- Excellent written and verbal skills along with computer proficiency
- Experience in special event planning
- Excellent public speaking and interpersonal skills
- Be a creative self-motivated, team player with a sense of humor

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
- Coordination of the Volunteer Program, including organizing recruitment efforts, training, assignment coordination, keeping statistics, supervising volunteers and ambassadors, supervising community service groups, program materials management, e-newsletter production, and appreciation events.
- Coordinate awareness events, including logistics (event venue, catering, AV, etc.), managing lists and vendor relationships, and ensuring all follow-up is completed after the event.
- Coordinate the use of the Wellness Locker and Pantry (donation lists, upkeep and Pantry/Locker Drives)
- Assisting the Development Department with the Holiday Drive Projects.
- Track/compile monthly statistics and submit monthly narrative reports
- Conduct Open House programs, and staff tables at outreach events on virtual platforms and in-person with organizations such as, but not limited to, community agencies, educational institutions, faith communities, local businesses, and human service agencies in Howard County.
- Distribute HopeWorks literature throughout the community and continuously seek new locations or methods for disseminating information.
- Attending training and professional development regarding volunteer management, community organizing and the prevention of sexual and intimate partner sexual violence.
