**Deberes y Responsabilidades**

**Requerimientos & Características Personales**
- Diploma de escuela secundaria o título de educación general (GED) - preferiblemente.
- 1 año de experiência como lavador de platos o auxiliar de cocina en un restaurante, hotel o club con gran volumen de actividades.
- Conocimiento de cómo manejar químicos y maquinaria de cocina de una manera segura - preferiblemente.
- Estar familiarizado con maquinaria de operación como maquina lavaplatos y equipos de cocina.
- Ayudaría tener conocimiento general sobre servicio y estándares de comida y bebida.
- Mover, levantar, transportar, empujar, recoger y ubicar objetos que pesen menos de 30 libras o menos sin ayuda.
- Pararse, sentarse o caminar durante un periodo prolongado de tiempo.
- Alcanzar por encima y debajo de la rodillas, incluidos movimientos como doblarse, torcerse y agacharse.

Reporting to the Head Steward**, **our team of Kitchen** Stewards **work across the 4 kitchens at **River Oaks Country Club **to diligently support the culinary team during service.

**Full time position**: AM or PM shifts available - Flexible schedule required including weekends and holidays.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Wash and store all cooking utensils, china equipment, flatware and glassware.
- Keep all kitchen areas clean; Wash all wares in dish washing machine or by hand.
- Wash and polish all stainless steel.
- Sweep and mop kitchen floors and walk-in coolers
- Assist in food preparation, banquet plate up, store food after delivery and cleaning storage areas.
- Maintain inventories of soap, chemicals and paper towels.
- Keep floors in kitchen areas clean, clear of debris and dry.

**Qualifications and Personal Characteristics**
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 1 year experience as a dishwasher, porter or steward in a high volume restaurant, hotel or country club.
- Knowledge of safe chemical and equipment handling preferred.
- Familiar with operating machinery including dishwasher, sprayer, and kitchen equipment.
- Possess a general knowledge of food and beverage service and standards helpful.
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 30 pounds without assistance.
