Reporting to the CEO, this accountable leader will drive a wide range of responsibilities, manage cross-functional projects, lead high-impact decisions, and steer team initiatives. The Chief of Staff will lead the prioritization of activities and coach others at various levels across the organization on how best to follow through on their commitments, especially in relation to the strategic plan. This leader will be strategic, have excellent communication skills, possess a high EQ, and have a deep commitment to our mission.

Ensures that the core values of Camino Health Center - dignity, excellence, service and justice are carried out within daily tasks.

**Essential Functions**:
**_ Leadership Responsibilities_**
- In partnership with Human Resources, facilitates the growth, development, and effectiveness of staff who report to the CEO and Chief of Staff as applicable.
- Reviews, designs, and executes improvements to organizational structure; finds knowledge and skills gaps and helps address them. Identifies barriers to success and performs complex problem-solving activities.
- Serves as liaison with staff, executives, senior leaders, and CEO regarding company climate, employee well-being, project updates, proposals, and planning.
- Participates in Board Meetings at the discretion of the CEO and Board. Prepares reports for the Board and presents relevant information as required.
- Maintains a visible presence, interacting with key stakeholders to inform and advise them of strategies, trends, and activities. Represents the facility as a vital provider and employer by being an active civic leader in the community where and when requested to do so.
- Responds to the Chief Executive Officer’s requests for special projects and represents Camino Health Center as needed
- Other duties as assigned by the Chief Executive Officer.

**_ Program and Project Management_**
- Holds primary responsibility for enterprise program and project management; oversees applicable staff and consultants in these efforts, prioritizing projects and allocating resources accordingly;
- Maintains a continual improvement strategy that includes detailed documentation of standard operating procedures and routine reviews/updates of policies, procedures and other documentation.
- Partners with the COO and executive team to create a culture of Performance Improvement to promote integration across services and departments.
- Holds primary responsibility and serves as the organizational lead in terms of project management for adhering to the HRSA Federally Qualified Health Center Program requirements including, but not limited to, the program management required to maintain the Health Center’s grants and associated reporting requirements.
- Holds primary responsibility for leading strategic planning efforts including maintaining project plan and dashboard to track progress; facilitates Strategic Planning Committee of the Board.
- Facilitates Executive Leadership Team meetings, including development of agendas and presentations and other relevant materials for review,
- Collaborates with the CFO and executive team in development of the administrative resources and expenditures for the annual budget
- Works in partnership with the executive team to review and negotiate key contracts
- Assists and communicates with executives in decision-making, program management, and initiative implementation.
- Leads and assists on special projects as needed.

**_ Administrative Duties / Organizational Communication_**
- Leads Communication Advisory Committee and works with stakeholders to develop and execute organizational communication cascade.
- Acts as a liaison between Executive Team and Management, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure consistent communication and ensuring involvement or decisionmaking at the proper time.
- Collaborates with the leadership team on the identification and pursuit of new revenue streams and business ventures.
- Oversees strategic business initiatives, from development to successful execution, in collaboration with senior leadership.
- Advises organization on optimization; identifies opportunities for horizontal integration across service lines in an attempt to improve efficiencies, boost productivity and leverage economies of scale in partnership with senior leadership.
- Develops and builds relationships with employees at all levels to help identify operational challenges and ensure successful implementation of initiatives and collaboration across departments.
- Understands organizational policies and procedures necessary to ensure appropriate decision-making protocols are followed.

**Minimum Position Qualifications**:

- ** Education**: Bachelor’s degree in business/healthcare administration or health-related field from an accredited institution
- ** Experience / Training**:

- Five or more years of experience in a community health center or primary health care setting; five or more years in a business management
