Direct Support Staff

**A minimum of 6 months experience working with people with disabilities and/or aging. However, we are willing to train the right person.**

**Minimum Requirements**:

- High School Diploma/GED
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Valid Driver’s License
- Able to work legally in the United States
- Ability to lift 50 pounds

**Job duties include but not limited to**:Monitor the person being supported to ensure safety in all aspects of their lives (medical, health, behavioral)**
- **Help implement the person supported Person Centered Plan.**:

- Ensure that person being supported rights and dignity are respected.
- Assist the person being supported with their personal care such as; toileting, feeding, showering, grooming, etc.
- Drive personal vehicle to transport persons supported to activities, doctor appointments, their families house, etc.
- Promote community inclusion, self-determination and self-sufficiency in those being supported through personal interactions.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 4 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- On call
- Weekends as needed

**Experience**:

- Caregiving: 1 year (preferred)

Shift availability:

- Day Shift (preferred)
- Night Shift (preferred)

Ability to Relocate:

- Hollywood, MD: Relocate before starting work (required)

Work Location: In person
