**Southeast Cherokee Construction seeks applicants to fulfill the dual hat role of Project Superintendent/ SSHO of General Construction position at Ft. Eustis, Hampton, VA.**

**Applicants must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities**:

- **Oversee and manage the day-to-day on-site construction operations**:

- **Schedule and coordinate all sub-contractors, vendor deliveries and crew requirements for project**:

- **Review and submit all submittals, shop drawings, RFI’s, etc.**:

- **Oversee all safety concerns for the project**:

- **Hold weekly safety meetings on project**:

- **Written daily and weekly progress reporting**:

- **Ensure compliance with contract documents**:

- **Preform project site safety and health inspections daily**:

- **Maintain a written daily log documenting area/operation inspected, date of inspection, identified hazards, recommended corrective actions, estimated and actual dates of corrections**:

- **Assist QC as needed**
- **Read and interpret schematics and blueprints**
- **Monitor project progress and make adjustments as needed**
- **Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget**
- **Other duties as assigned**

**Skills required**:

- **Past experience working on projects as a General Construction Superintendent/SSHO on Federal Government projects**:

- **Site Safety & Health Officer certification**
- **OSHA 30 Certification**
- **Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and materials**
- **Proficient in reading and interpreting schematics and blueprints**
- **Excellent organizational and time management skills**
- **Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail**
- **Strong leadership abilities with the ability to motivate and manage a team**
- **Proficiency in construction management software **Primavera**
- **Written communication skills**
