**Job Overview**:
**Duties**:

- Develop test plans and test cases based on project requirements and specifications.
- Identify test scenarios and define acceptance criteria for software features.
- Execute test cases manually or using automated testing tools.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing as needed.
- Record test results and document defects in issue tracking systems.
- Investigate and prioritize reported defects, working with developers to reproduce and resolve issues.
- Ability to perform functional and non-functional testing
- Track and monitor defects throughout the defect lifecycle, ensuring timely resolution.
- Verify fixes and perform regression testing to ensure defects are resolved.
- Participate in quality assurance activities throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and clarify issues.
- Communicate test results, status updates, and quality metrics to project teams and management.
- Provide feedback on software usability, functionality, and performance.

**Experience**:

- Familiarity with database systems and SQL queries..
- Agile project management tools such as JIRA.
- Experience in Test management & Defect tracking tools
- Highly skilled in verbal and written communication
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of QA best practices
- Certifications in software testing is a plus
- Familiarity with test automation frameworks and scripting languages is a plus

**Job Type**: Contract

Compensation package:

- 1099 contract
- Hourly pay

Experience level:

- 5 years

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
