Mirus Bio is expanding and has an immediate opening for a Quality Assurance Technician to support the Mirus Bio Quality Team. This individual contributor position will assist with quality assurance, document control, and quality monitoring activities.  This position will report to the Senior Quality Manager work closely with Quality, Operations, Production, and Shipping departments.  The Quality Technician is expected to possess attention to detail and the ability to conduct work within current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) guidelines, when applicable.

This is a part-time onsite position.  This role works cross-functionally with all departments within Mirus Bio.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 
  • Perform quality assurance reviews of kitting and dispensing records in accordance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
  • Support document control of Mirus Bio records including scanning documents and maintaining the quality files both onsite and preparing documents for transfer to offsite storage.
  • Perform quality approval of final product labels for production and shipping departments ensuring labels are accurate and legible to provide full product traceability.
  • Monitor the execution per procedural requirements of quality operations activities including lab cleanings, equipment calibrations, and preventative maintenance. Coordinate with responsible departments and leadership to address gaps identified through the monitoring of activities.
  • Monitor and support the Quality, Production, and Shipping teams with execution of simple cross-functional processes and activities.
  • Communicate effectively across multiple teams to eliminate barriers and ensure alignment with upstream and downstream partners.
  • Respond quickly to changing priorities and can handle multiple activities with potentially overlapping deadlines.
  • Follow Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) guidelines and ensure quality compliance for assigned duties.
  • Adhere to both Biological Safety Level 2 (BSL-2) guidelines and standard laboratory practices to ensuring a safe laboratory environment.
  • Build positive relationships during internal and external interactions.
  • Demonstrates behavior outlined within the Mirus Bio Employee Handbook.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Senior Quality Manager.

REQUIREMENTS

Education:
  • Requires a GED or High School Diploma.

Professional:
  • Consistent professional experience ensuring quality to a process has been maintained.
  • Capability to work in a detailed and organized manner, to make critical observations, and to maintain good records of the results.   
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and solve problems.
  • Ability to work productively in a team environment.
  • Ability to work in a laboratory setting and lift 25 lbs. occasionally.
This position has a salary range of $20 - $25 per hour and will be commensurate with experience.
