**ORGANIZATIONAL SUMMARY**:
The Department of Psychology houses 35 tenure-earning faculty, 9 staff members, numerous full and part time instructors and researchers, an undergraduate program that serves over 2,200 declared majors, an active graduate program with three areas of concentration and over 120 graduate students. In addition to the business office, there is also a fully operational clinic (Psychological Services Clinic), and academic advising. The Department of Psychology is a research intensive department with $17 million in grants and a departmental budget of $3 million.

This Academic Program Specialist position provides general office and program support to the department, academic programs and Department Chair. This position will perform a wide range of support duties including but not limited to: course scheduling, space management, graduate student evaluations, general academic support, departmental scholarships, other duties as assigned relating to departmental and academic support.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Course Scheduling management
- Input changes in schedule and banner system, cross listing when necessary, confirm lab fees are correct in OASIS and coordinate with Dean's office, initiate space requests with central space, work closely with Associate Chair, Area Directors and undergraduate coordinator to review teaching assignments. Maintain printed room schedules for dedicated classrooms and schedule rooms for meetings for all department personnel.

General Academic Support - Graduate student evaluations, book orders, mid-term and final grades, syllabi collection, GA tuition waivers, departmental scholarships, back up to Academic Services administrator (graduate program support).

Space Management: Annual IFIS Space Survey, central space liaison, department room reservations, room schedules for dedicated space, building access permissions, graduate desk space, and departmental event space planning.

Other duties as needed or assigned, continued training as needed for position, create and maintain desk manual, otherwise time to be used in the course of regular assigned duties.

**MINIMUM**:
This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with four years of experience in office or administrative positions. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.
