**Job Summary**:
Certain positions at the Company may require you to have access to Part 810-Controlled Information. Under the law, the Company is limited in who it can share this information with and in certain circumstances it is necessary to obtain specific authorization before the Company can share this information. Accordingly, if the position does require access to this information, you must complete a 10 CFR Part 810 Export Control Compliance Nationality Request Form, a copy of which will be provided to you by Talent Acquisition if an offer is made. If there is a need for specific authorization, due to the time it takes to obtain authorization from the government, we will likely not be able to further proceed with an offer.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

- Comply with policies and procedures for the administration of the databases, maintenance and upgrades of database software, and oversight of backups and standby databases. Establish and maintain databases for user tests and production purposes.
- Work closely with Product Managers and vendors on new systems, enhancements, and upgrades to the database environment
- Monitor and deploy security patches as required to maintain a secure system; provide support for database security and SOX audits to ensure database integrity and user access
- Proactively seek out ways to improve performance and streamline database environments
- Ensure high levels of data availability and reliability of the systems
- Participate in Disaster Recovery planning, testing and execution
- Develops and implements processes and queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading data into databases.
- Installs, modifies, maintains, and configures database high availability (HA) options (i.e. clusters, Oracle RAC, SQL Server Always On)
- Works closely with Product Owners and vendors on new systems, enhancements, and upgrades to the database environment
- Monitors databases for performance issues and implements solutions for on-going database maintenance
- Assists in troubleshooting databases issues affecting databases reliability and uptime availability.
- Performs database version upgrades

**Required**:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Science, Technology, Engineering or Math
- 4 or more years of DBA experience in design and administration of logical and relational databases in diverse technological environments
- Without a bachelor’s degree, minimum of 6 years of DBA experience in design and administration of logical and relational databases in diverse technological environments
- Experience in file structures, design, retrieval and access methods, database query and retrieval of data; Understanding of the systems development lifecycle; Solid understanding of business processes; Analytical ability, good communication skills, strong judgment and the ability to work effectively with clients and IT management and staff.

**Desired**:

- ITIL Foundation certificate
- Oracle and/or Microsoft SQL certifications
- Understanding of other common RDMS database systems
- Experience working with databases that are clustered and attached to a SAN infrastructure
- Experience with Oracle ASM, RAC, and Partitioning
- PostgreSQL, MySQL, RedShift, and AWS RDS Experience
- Database Automation Experience (Ansible, Python, PowerShell, Scripting)
