EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

- High school degree required
- Experience in a Plastic Surgery Practice a Must

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

- Familiarity with cosmetic and aesthetic procedures
- At least two years of experience in a Plastics clinical setting
- Good promotional skills and ability to sell skin care products and spa services
- Knowledge of practice management
- Pleasant speaking voice and demeanor
- Good communication skills, bilingual in Spanish a plus
- Neat, professional appearance

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Reception Services Responsibilities
- “Opens” the office each day by ensuring the reception area is clean and tidy; straightens and turns on lights
- Answers telephone pleasantly
- Greets patients as they arrive for scheduled appointments
- Provides new patients with appropriate paperwork for required signatures
- Verifies demographic and insurance information for new and established patients
- Ensures all patient electronic paperwork is complete prior to patient appointment
- Informs patients in the reception area when the surgeon is running behind
- Collects payments for skin care services, Medspa services, surgeries and for a consultation
- Schedules follow-up appointments for patients before they leave the office;
- Screens visitors and responds to routine requests for information
- Clears Scans folder daily
- Check In & Check out patients for multiples providers
- Assigns all Patient Portals when scheduling appointments
- Manages Leads on lead platform
- “Closes” office each day: locks front door, turns lights in waiting room off, straightens waiting room, copier, telephones, runs credit card batch totals.
- Runs weekly inventory audit for all skincare products and injectables.
- Surgery Scheduler Assistance to Patient Care Coordinator
- Schedules patients for Pre-Op & Post Op appointments as well surgery if surgery scheduler is not available and is cross trained to cover for this position
- Create Surgical Quotes
- Assist patient with securing third party financing if needed

Other:

- Maintains patient confidentiality by following the HIPAA Compliance Plan established by the practice; releases PHI in accordance with the practice's HIPAA Compliance Plan, attends regular HIPAA training, maintains data security by refusing to share computer and other passwords, and reports all identified and suspected HIPAA violations to the Privacy Officer
- Maintains detailed knowledge of practice management and other computer software as it relates to job functions
- Attends all regular meetings
- Performs all other tasks and projects assigned by the Manager

Access to PHI (Protected Health Information)
This position has extensive access to PHI. It requires the review of computerized or paper-based medical records, lab results, and tests, in order to perform clinical duties as well as communicate effectively with patients. It may also require access to computerized and paper-based reimbursement data (such as referral forms)¾which contain both a patient's clinical and financial information.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
