Communications Specialist

**Essential Duties & Responsibilities** **.
- Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies to support organizational goals.
- Oversee all internal and external communications, ensuring consistency and alignment with the organization?s mission and values.
- Manage media relations, including drafting press releases, preparing media kits, and coordinating media inquiries and interviews.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key media contacts and stakeholders.
- Lead crisis communication efforts, providing timely and effective responses to protect the organization?s reputation.
- Create and oversee the production of communication materials, including newsletters, reports, brochures, and social media content.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure communication efforts are aligned with overall marketing and operational strategies.
- Monitor and analyze communication metrics to assess the effectiveness of strategies and campaigns.
- Provide training and support to staff on communication best practices and tools.
- Lead and mentor a team of communication professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices, incorporating new ideas and technologies to enhance communication efforts.
- Prepare and deliver presentations, reports, and updates to senior management and stakeholders.
- Ensure all communication efforts comply with relevant regulations and standards.
- Represent the organization at events, conferences, and other public engagements

**Education and Experience**
- Bachelor?s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field (Master?s degree preferred).
- 5-7 years of experience in communications, public relations, or a related field.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful communication strategies.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Experience managing media relations and handling crisis communications.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of industry trends and best practices in communications.
- Experience leading and mentoring a team
