Program Design and Development:

  • Lead the design and development of health communications projects and programs aimed at addressing minority health and health disparities.
  • Develop innovative strategies and solutions to effectively reach minority populations and communicate health messages.

Project Implementation and Management:

  • Oversee the implementation of health communication initiatives, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to execute program activities efficiently and effectively.
  • Monitor and evaluate project progress, making adjustments as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.

Partnership Development and Engagement:

  • Identify, develop, and maintain partnerships with key stakeholders, including community organizations, healthcare providers, and other relevant entities.
  • Foster strong relationships with partners to ensure collaborative efforts in addressing minority health and health disparities.
  • Represent the agency at meetings, conferences, and other events to promote program goals and objectives.

Research and Data Analysis:

  • Conduct research to identify health disparities and minority health issues, utilizing both qualitative and quantitative methods.
  • Analyze data to inform the development and refinement of health communication strategies.
  • Stay updated on the latest research and trends in minority health and health disparities to ensure programs are evidencebased and effective.

Communication and Outreach:

  • Develop and disseminate health communication materials, including brochures, social media content, press releases, and other outreach tools.
  • Ensure that all communication materials are culturally sensitive and tailored to the needs of minority populations.
  • Use various media channels to reach target audiences and maximize the impact of health messages.

Training and Capacity Building:

  • Provide training and technical assistance to partners and stakeholders on best practices in health communication and outreach.
  • Build the capacity of community organizations and other partners to sustain health communication efforts.

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Prepare detailed reports on project activities, outcomes, and impact for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of all program activities, including partnership agreements, project plans, and evaluation results.

Compliance and Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure all program activities comply with federal regulations and agency guidelines.
  • Implement quality assurance processes to maintain high standards of program delivery and effectiveness.

Budget Management:

  • Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring the efficient use of resources.
  • Monitor expenditures and provide regular financial reports to agency leadership.

Strategic Planning:

  • Contribute to the strategic planning process for health communication initiatives, aligning program goals with the agency?s mission and objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for program expansion and enhancement based on emerging health trends and community needs.

Qualification

  • A Master's degree in health promotion, mass communications, health education, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience.
  • Proven ability to design, develop, and implement health communications projects and programs, particularly those related to minority health and health disparities research.
  • Demonstrated success in partnership development and engagement.
  • Specialized knowledge in minority health and health disparities research.
