The Manufacturing Engineering team within Boeing Defense Systems is seeking a highly motivated and talented Manufacturing Planner (Experienced or Lead) to join our growing team located in Huntington Beach, California.
**Position Responsibilities**:
- Develops, implements and maintains various manufacturing plans, Bill of Materials, work instructions and illustrations to define and document as-built configuration.
- Develops manufacturing concepts and strategies to support business objectives.
- Develops and integrates suppliers, processes, materials, data and technology to meet manufacturing and delivery requirements.
- Reviews and approves supplier data to ensure manufacturing related requirements are met.
- Performs producibility assessments for part or product designs.
- Provides producibility input to design, manufacturing processes and manufacturing technologies to meet cost and schedules.
- Develops integrated work statements and sequencing of events to support delivery commitments.
- Works under general direction.
- This position is for 1st shift but may be asked to work alternate shifts to support business requirements.
- Performs other duties as assigned and may be requested to support other programs as needed.
**This position requires the ability to obtain U.S. Security Clearance post start, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. **An interim and/or final U.S. top secret clearance Post Start is required.
**Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)**:
- Associate’s degree or years related work experience, or equivalent combination.
- 3+ years of experience in an aerospace, fabrication or manufacturing environment.
- 3+ years of experience with reading and interpreting engineering drawings and processes
**Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)**:
- 3+ years' experience involving direct planning or installation activity associated to assembly or manufacturing.
- Prior Manufacturing Planning experience or equivalent mechanical/electrical systems experience.
- Strong communication skills & ability to work in dynamic development environment
- Ability to work fairly independently within a team environment.
- Aerospace or Underwater platform experience.
- Experience with MESci.

**Experienced**:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+1 years' related work experience, 5 years' related work experience, etc.).
**Lead**: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+4 years' related work experience, 8 years' related work experience, etc.).

**Typical Summary Pay Range**:
Summary pay range for Associate level: $69,700 - $94,300
