The Facilities Department Assistant to the Facilities Department is responsible for the important functions
including, office management, managing shipping and receiving, department purchasing and purchasing
documentation, assist with property surplus process, scheduling of meetings, assisting with special department
projects/initiatives, serving as a department liaison to other areas of the college to ensure top level customer
service. This person will also be a central operational person to the entire Facilities team to ensure smooth
ethic.

**SUMMARY OF WORKING CONDITIONS**
Equipment Used: Standard office equipment.- Working Conditions: Category III - No foreseen exposure to hazardous chemicals/pathogens.

Wiregrass campuses and satellite sites.

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**
Associate’s degree in Business Administrative Technology **and* **One (1) year of work related experience **OR**
High school diploma **and* **Two (2) years related work experience. Advanced Office skills, especially Outlook,
Word and Excel. Valid Driver's License.

**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**
of the following: Prior office experience in a Facilities or Plant Management setting. Prior experience with state
purchasing a plus.

**SALARY/BENEFITS**
Salary is $32,000/yr. This position is full‐time and includes standard State of GA benefits such as leave
accrual, options for health & other supplemental benefits, and retirement. This position may qualify the
