The EI Specialist supports early childhood education with children and their families to enhance the development and learning of infants and toddlers through individualized, developmentally appropriate coaching and activities within the child's and family's everyday life in their home. Provide home and community-based services as a member of the transdisciplinary team in Early Intervention to children birth to 3 years old. Engage caregivers through parent coaching sessions to maximize child growth and development. Participate in a collaborative team approach; through IFSP teams, facilitating playgroups or as a member of a developmental evaluation team.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Provide direct care for a caseload of children and implement their Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP) through case management and home visiting as a member of the transdisciplinary team.
- Utilize assessment tools to provide developmental evaluations that inform the development of IFSP outcomes.
- Facilitate small group sessions that encourage early social emotional development and parent support.
**REQUIREMENTS**
- Bachelor’s Degree required (Early Child Development, Early Elementary, or related field)
- Experience working with children under the age of 5 years old.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, staff, management, third-party partners.
- Attend meetings, trainings and appropriate professional development activities.
- Team Player; maintain a positive and flexible attitude, actively contributes and shares knowledge to fellow Aspire employees in order to perform job, complete tasks, meet goals or manage projects. Collaborate, value opinions/ideas and remain respectful in the work environment.
- Technology: Competent in Microsoft Software and online databases.
- Emotional: Mature and stable individual who is able to cope with the emotional demands working with agency staff, parents, community and management.
- Physical: Ability to lift and position children weighing up to 40 pounds to provide respectful and nurturing care, as necessary. Must be able to move frequently, ascend/descend stairs and occasionally remain stationary.
- Travel: Valid driver’s license, personal reliable vehicle with insurance is required to travel to families in order to provide services in natural environments.
- Regulatory: Must meet all requirements for license, certification, and the Department Public Health regulations as mandated by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Including a clear background and criminal record.
