- PURPOSE OF JOB:
- Provides direct patient care and performs selected therapeutic interventions and diagnostic procedures under the direction of the Registered Nurse.- ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:- Provides safe and efficient direct patient care with consideration for age-specific accommodations.-
- Collaborates with patients, families, and health care team members in order to achieve excellence in patient care.-
- Promotes patient safety through adherence to protocols, policies, procedures, evidence-based guidelines and Joint Commission National Patient Safety Goals.-
- Actively participates in and supports departmental and organizational quality initiatives and goals.-
- Maintains clinical competency according to unit-specific standards.**Job Qualifications**:
- V. QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education:
- 1. High school or GED completion
- 2. Certified Nursing Assistant documentation for Certified PCT position. Must maintain current Pennsylvania license.
- B. Experience:
- 1. Hospital experience preferred
- 2. Phlebotomy and ECG experience preferred
- C. Other Skills:
- 1. Certified in B.L.S. for health care providers
- 2. Excellent interpersonal and team building skills
