**The Position**

As a Director, Strategic Planning & Chief of Staff in Medical Affairs Outcomes Research (MAOR), the role oversees one or more critical initiatives and supports the Head of MAOR and the Leadership team to address business needs in process improvement, technology solutions, change management, and compliance support leading to the organization and Company success.

**Responsibilities**

Head MAOR Support:

- Coordinate with head of MAOR on the development of the MAOR strategy in coordination with MAOR Leadership Team (LT).
- Establish long-range plans based on strategic priorities and measurable objectives for MAOR in line with Company strategy and business value drivers.
- Collaborate with the Head MAOR, MAOR LT, and the Financial Business Partner to manage the MAOR budget including and partner with procurement to ensure appropriate vendor management.
- Budgeting and Forecasting:

- Collaborate with Finance and MAOR LT to develop annual budgets to meet key medical objectives.
- Collaborate with Finance and Head MAOR to develop and execute the budgeting and forecasting process, and continuously improve the process to enhance accuracy over time.
- Collaborate with Finance and HR on budgetary and headcount management to drive to annual targets.
- Oversee day-to-day support for Head MAOR in collaboration with executive assistant, and other key team members including creation of agendas, prioritization of commitments.
- Prepare Head MAOR, in collaboration with Corporate Communications and others for all engagements including developing succinct, compelling presentations/talking points.
- Collaborate across all global leaders and act as a connector for strategically important topics and issues, provide regular updates and highlight new issues as they arise.
- Drive strategic priorities in collaboration with the Head MAOR, through regular collaboration with regional leadership teams, and across functions and through the leadership team meetings.
- Proactively identify and drive innovative and transformational initiatives of strategic importance to MAOR.
- Function on behalf of the Head MAOR to coordinate, manage and represent the day-to-day affairs, ensuring that the organization functions efficiently by organizing/prioritizing critical issues and provide required information and her/his own opinion for the leader to facilitate efficient decision making.

Support for MAOR Leadership Team:

- Based on business priorities, set agendas for regular MAOR LT meetings; oversee the smooth running of LT meetings, capture decisions and ensure timely follow-up, and escalation, if required.
- Collaborate with LT members to ensure smooth information flow, problem solve issues and offer counsel, as needed.
- In collaboration with the MAOR LT, develop a vision and annual strategic plan to define the organizational objectives and goals.
- Translate MAOR strategy into an execution roadmap.
- Lead the development of the internal communication strategy and communications tactics for MAOR LT.
- Partner with MAOR LT to facilitate the development of the technology strategy and capabilities that support MAOR’s vision.
- Help fuel organizational success by elevating key wins and challenges to MAOR leadership.
- Define new processes and develop and execute implementation plans to effectively stand up the new processes related to individual area(s) of expertise.
- Review and update/establish metrics for performance and continuous improvement.

Operational Planning and Management (as applicable):
Leading the Strategic Operations Team, which is responsible for the following activities:

- Preparing for, facilitating and driving activities for the MAOR Therapeutic Area (TA) Integrated Data Generation designed to prioritize data generation projects, address key evidence gaps, and to review ongoing data generation projects.
- Preparing for and facilitating meetings across therapeutic areas in collaboration with MAOR TA Leads to align on strategy, plan execution of tactics and provide progress updates.
- With the LT, defining priority Congresses, including attendees, supporting messages, measurable impact and target external audience.
- Work with MAOR LT to ensure there is effective congress coordinator support, facilitation of pre-and post-Congress planning meetings, impact/value dissemination, medical activities planning and a fit-for-purpose, streamlined ORD congress attendance approval process.

Directing members of the Value Team and including Operations Leads, who will be responsible for the following:

- Content generation that supports the CMAPs, training for global field teams, medical review, medical information needs and DPOC.
- Establishing and monitoring key performance indicators, to measure team performance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitoring budgets and forecasts to ensure solid financial governance.
