Job DescriptionJob Description

For over 30 years, L2 Brands, through its League, Legacy, Ouray and Locale lifestyle brands, has created premium customized products that connect consumers with the schools, traditions, destinations and workplaces they identify with and love.

L2 Brands is deeply committed to our tight-knit, open door culture. We demonstrate this by placing creativity at the heart of everything we do, designing trend-right products, encouraging input from all levels of associates, pitching in to help others when needed and taking care of our people with great benefits. Our office motto is “Work Hard and Be Nice”, and behind that credo are L2’s Core Values of putting our customers’ satisfaction at the heart of our daily life, innovating new products and processes to win, requiring a teamwork mentality and accountability, and making a difference in both our local community as well as our factories by doing things the right way.

Summary: The SVP of Global Planning & Logistics leads the inventory planning team and is responsible for overseeing and optimizing our supply chain and logistics operations globally. You will be responsible for implementing strategic initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve delivery timelines throughout L2’s supply chain. You will also be responsible for developing inventory planning strategies, systems and processes to drive service levels while meeting financial objectives. This role is accountable for successfully balancing competing objectives with inventory investment, inventory turns, service fill rates, demand forecast accuracy and life cycle management. Closely aligned with Finance, Sales, Operations, Product Development, and Merchandising – all critical partners for inventory success – this key leader will help create and drive process discipline across the organization using reporting, data analysis, and benchmarking to enable the Company to exceed revenue and profitability targets, consistently and successfully deliver on-time, and drive exceptional customer service.

Duties and Responsibilities:

PLANNING AND INVENTORY MANAGEMENT:

  • Responsible for development, implementation, and execution of global planning and logistics solutions: strategy, process, demand forecasting software, reporting/business intelligence, and KPI’s that are aligned with the company's overall budget and annual operating plan.
  • Develop strong partnerships with the core cross-functional team (Sales, Merchandising, Product Development, Operations, and Finance) to ensure buy-in to product flow, forecasts and inventory levels required to support company revenue and financial objectives.
  • Takes a leadership role not only with the Inventory Planning team but through collaboration with the Sr. Leadership Team during SIOPS meetings, the annual budgeting process and on key decisions to drive the growth and efficiency of the business.
  • Oversee the building of effective inventory buy plans and implement management practices to optimize stock levels, minimize excess inventory, and reduce carrying costs; while ensuring product availability to meet customer demand.
  • Collaborates with Product Development, Sales and Merchandising to achieve optimal life cycle management from launching new products and adequate initial planning levels to end of life cycle management, liquidation, and ultimate inventory dispositioning.
  • Identify and leverage innovative technologies – such as demand planning software, supply chain management systems, data analytics, and automation tools – to streamline processes, improve visibility, and enhance decision-making across both L2 and its supply chain network.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor the performance of inventory management (turns, fill rates, etc.) and logistics at multiple warehouse locations, analyze data to identify areas for improvement, and drive continuous optimization and efficiency gains.

LOGISTICS:

  • Develop strategies to optimize the flow of goods between countries, leveraging trade agreements, customs regulations, and transportation routes to minimize lead times, reduce duties, and enhance cost-effectiveness.
  • Work collaboratively with the leadership and operations of our central warehouse located in El Salvador, strategically positioned to serve as a regional distribution hub for our US operations. Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics, establish processes for effective inventory management including warehouse transfers, and value-added services to streamline operations and maximize efficiency.
  • Coordinate and manage international freight and logistics with dozens of vendors and several logistics partners to eliminate bottlenecks and drive down out-of-stocks, freight lead times and cost.

CAPACITY PLANNING AND RESPONSIBLE SOURCING:

  • In conjunction with EVP Sourcing & Product Development, work with LCA and L2’s third-party suppliers on capacity planning and, if necessary, collaborate on raw material planning.
  • Manage the implementation and execution of Factory Scorecards.
  • Key Contributor to mid and long-term Sourcing Strategy.

Required Education/Experience/Skills:

  1. BS/BA in Business, Mathematics, Supply Chain or relevant field of study
  2. 5-10 years of senior leadership experience, preferably within apparel industry
  3. Working knowledge of Power BI or similar data analytics
  4. Working knowledge of Netstock or similar inventory planning software
