Key Job Responsibilities:
Post Secondary Planning:

- Organize and execute internal and external college and career exploration and exposure opportunities (college/career fairs, college campus visits, trades on site training, etc.).
- Communicate with families regularly informing them of their student’s post-secondary progress, important dates, milestones, and general information.
- Hold regular post-secondary planning meetings with individual junior and senior students.
- Conduct professional development for school staff when needed as it relates to college/career pathway knowledge.
- Develop and run mission-aligned programs for all grade levels designed to increase their knowledge and interest in ACE career fields.
- Develop and foster partnerships with post secondary institutions and industry partners.
- Seek out and oversee internship, job shadowing, and mentorship opportunities.
- Oversee post-secondary (OneGoal) instructor and meet regularly regarding post-secondary progress of students.

Student Achievement:

- Assist the Director of Curriculum & Instruction in curriculum mapping freshman academy & OneGoal course.
- In collaboration with the SEL counselor, plan and oversee opportunities for students to earn service hour credit.
- Identify needs for and oversee the credit recovery program and summer school.
- Serve as ACE Amandla’s SAT/PSAT testing coordinator.
- Help students and families prepare for the PSAT/SAT assessment as well as utilize the results to prepare them for post secondary decision making.
- Oversee senior activities planning and execution of senior events.
- Develop and implement interventions, initiatives, and celebrations to increase student GPA.

Administrative:

- Participate in Leadership Team bi-weekly walkthroughs and weekly Leadership Team Meetings.
- Monitor and report on student graduation performance metrics during MTSS briefings during Leadership Team Meetings.
- Ensure timely submission of all ISBE compliance reports including 100% FAFSA completion.
- Build the master schedule and conduct student class audits and scheduling changes as necessary.
- Audit new student transcripts and participate in new student orientation

Qualifications:

- Eligibility to work in the United States on a full-time basis (required).
- Active Illinois Teaching License (preferred).
- Master’s Degree (preferred).
- 5 or more years working in a high school setting (preferred).
- Familiar with PowerSchool & Naviance (preferred)

This position reports to the Principal and Board of Directors.
