**The HR Generalist/Payroll & Benefits Administrator**, with limited supervision, is responsible for the successful coordination of personnel practices and policies.
- Manage payroll processes using Paycom and ensure accuracy in all payroll transactions.
- Maintain and ensure accuracy of employee work schedules in Paycom.
- Lead employee engagement initiatives to aid in building a committed and knowledgeable workforce.
- Assist in recruitment efforts by posting jobs, reviewing resumes, and conducting interviews.
- Assist with employee relations matters and provide guidance on HR policies and procedures.
- Assist in establishing a benefits program and overseeing benefits administration including enrollment, changes, and terminations.
- Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.

The incumbent will also support our School Chess Program and Marketing team to help implement and administer key company events and activities.

Seeking a highly motivated self-starter with the independent judgment and organizational skills.

Must be able to skillfully plan, prioritize, and execute a results-driven, diversified workload with competing priorities.

Must be extremely detail oriented with the ability to exercise the utmost care in handling confidential information.

Excellent written and verbal communication skill are key.

Trust, accuracy, and ability to multitask are important.

**This is a hybrid, full-time position.**

**Typical work hours 8am-5pm,** including a few hours on occasional weekends.

Proven experience as an HR Generalist.

Experience processing payroll, preferably in Paycom.

Experience administering benefits.

Experience with leading employee engagement initiatives.

Knowledge of employment law and regulations through education and/or experience

Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to identify and resolve matters based on facts and using sound judgment.

Proficiency in Google Workspace, Canva and Payroll Systems (Paycom preferred).

Able to work weekdays, 8am-5pm with occasional evening and weekend hours.

Must have reliable transportation to visit with employees, as needed, at their worksite in the greater Charlotte area.

**Education**:
Bachelor’s degree in human resource management, business administration, or equivalent work experience.

HRCI or SHRM certification preferred.
