**Summary**:
The benefits analysts position assists with the administration of all benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, spending accounts and other benefits.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Administer various employee benefits programs, such as group health, flexible spending accounts, dental and vision, accident and disability, life insurance, and other benefits.
- Maintain employee benefits systems and ensure benefits changes are entered appropriately in benefit system.
- Assist employees with health, dental, life and other related benefit claims.
- Verify and process all monthly premium statements for all group insurance policies.
- Resolve administrative problems with the carrier representatives.
- Administer COBRA systems.
- Assist in the benefits renewal process.
- Assist with carrier enrollment files and identify any issues.
- Assist with the open enrollment process.
- Prepare and maintain reports for vendor enrollments and other requested reports as needed.
- Administers the ACA compliance system which includes 1095s.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities**:

**Required Skills/Abilities**:

- Knowledge of employee benefits and applicable laws.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

**Education and Experience**:

- High school diploma or GED and two to three years of experience in employee benefits administration.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources preferred.

**Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level**:

- The Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 2-5 years of relevant job related experience
- The Senior Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 5-8 years of relevant job related experience
- The Lead Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 8+ years of relevant job related experience

**Working Conditions**:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.- Usually, normal office working conditions.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
- Occasional overnight travel may be required.
- Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
