Norfolk Yacht & Country Club is looking for a creative and effective communicator with strong interpersonal and organizational skills. The Communications Coordinator must be able to multi-task, prioritize duties, and work independently with mínimal supervision.

**Function of the Position**:
Serves as the Communications Coordinator for the organization.
- Responsible for creating printed and electronic materials; communicating with members across multiple platforms; promoting the activities and events for the organization; and serving as the graphic content expert;
- Implement brand identity and ensure brand consistency across all departments;
- Ensure the communication materials are high quality and on par with standards;
- Responsible for full maintenance of the app and website, both private and public sides;
- Provide assistance and support with business development responsibilities;
- Research and implement new technology and communication strategies
- Assist with projects as needed.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the Following**:

- Design and layout of marketing collateral.
- Write, design and layout of newsletter -gather content, photos, club information, human-interest stories, etc.
- Assist with preparation and execution of other mass mailings.
- Create graphics for digital display screens and social media pages.
- Develop and implement social media strategies, including content production and editorial review on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
- Take pictures and collect photos.
- Responsible for full maintenance of the website, both private and public, communicating with all
- departments to obtain necessary information, ensuring that the website is up-to-date at all times.
- Provide phone and online support concerning the website.
- Direct point of contact for assisting with login or technical use questions.
- Troubleshoot website technical issues.

**Job Knowledge and Skills**:

- In-depth understanding of traditional and contemporary marketing concepts across print, digital, and online media.
- Strong working knowledge of website design and social media marketing concepts.
- Proficiency with graphics software such as Adobe Creative Studio (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) is preferred but not required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Publisher, and PowerPoint.
- Some knowledge of HTML code is preferred but not required.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Team-oriented but also self-directed and able to work independently by setting clear, measurable goals and developing strategies to achieve those goals.
- Some knowledge of or willingness to learn basic video production using editing programs like iMovie or mobile apps like InShot.

**Education and/or Experience**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, Public Relations or related major.
