**Administrative and Operations Manager**

The Friends of Forsythe, Inc. is a non‐profit (501(c)3) charitable organization working in partnership with the Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge, which is administered by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. The purpose of the organization, which was established in 1998, is to connect people with nature through education, outreach, and nature‐based recreation to support the mission and goals of the refuge.

The Administrative and Operations Manager (Manager) position will oversee the day-to-day activities for Friends of Forsythe, which will generally include:

- Collecting, organizing, and storing information using computers and filing systems, including ensuring documents are stored and filed in the cloud-based system and that all board members have needed authorizations for access.
- Posting to the Friends of Forsythe social media account; sending out the quarterly newsletter and monthly blasts via Constant Contact, etc.
- Working with the Membership Committee to support sending thank you letters to donors, soliciting donations, and sending renewal letters either via snail mail or electronically.
- Developing ideas and strategies to keep the Gift Shop current and engaging for the public through display updating and ensuring information about the Friends of Forsythe is available and interesting to the public; and checking on cleanliness of the Gift Shop.
- Occasional evening and weekend work for meetings or events.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Ability to work with a variety of people across cultures, ranges of ability, genders, and ethnicities to meet organization objectives in a collaborative way
- Ability to effectively use platforms such as Constant Contact, Google Suite, Zoom, and Donor Perfect
- Ability to comfortably post social media to Facebook and Instagram
- Experience in a non-profit setting working closely with a diverse, hands-on board considered an asset

Benefits and Compensation

This position is part-time (15-20 hours per week). Pay range for this position is $20-$24/hour. Health insurance is not provided. Five days of paid vacation will be provided per year. Each day will be an equivalent workday which means if a typical workday is 4 hours, then a vacation day is 4 hours. The position is eligible for partial telework at no more than 10 hours per week and at a time when the selectee can conduct duties without direct oversight.

The Manager will report to the President of the Friends of Forsythe or their designee.

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 20 per week
