**Overview**:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Purchasing Specialist to join our team. As a Purchasing Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the procurement process, ensuring timely and cost-effective purchasing of goods and services. Your expertise in inventory control, contract management, and supplier/vendor management will be crucial in maintaining efficient operations.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet organizational needs
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers/vendors and evaluate their capabilities
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers/vendors to ensure favorable terms and cost savings
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their purchasing requirements and provide guidance on sourcing options
- Manage the procurement process from requisition to purchase order issuance, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with logistics to ensure timely delivery of goods
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier/vendor information
- Evaluate supplier/vendor performance based on quality, delivery, and pricing metrics
- Identify opportunities for cost savings through strategic sourcing initiatives

**Experience**:

- Proven experience as a Purchasing Specialist or similar role
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, inventory control, and contract management
- Proficiency in using Oracle EBS or similar procurement systems
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable terms and pricing
- Solid understanding of sourcing strategies and supplier/vendor management principles
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data and make informed purchasing decisions

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in purchasing or procurement roles
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
