**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES**:
**EDUCATION, TRAINING, and EXPERIENCE**:
Master's degree from an accredited college or university with specialization in the area of education, curriculum, assessment, instruction, supervision, or leadership; doctoral degree preferred. Five years or more experience in a supervisory, leadership, or administrative position; experience in a K through 12 school system preferred. Five years outstanding teaching experience in the related content area or level. Demonstrated and recent leadership in developing, managing, and overseeing college and career readiness initiatives, career advising/coaching, and program development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation. Extensive experience with establishing, cultivating, and maintaining relationships inside and outside of MCPS. Demonstrated leadership and broad experience working with diverse stakeholders. Successful experience in directing, supervising, and evaluating staff. Experience with leading curriculum development and assessments, technical skill certifications and industry recognized credentials, instructional practices and staff training. Experience working effectively with institutions of higher learning, MSDE, community organizations, government agencies, and businesses. Experience in grant writing, development of memorandums of understandings, legislative implementation, and regulation review and revision is desirable.
